National volunteer week was held from 15 – 21 May 2023. This year’s theme was ‘The Change Makers’ acknowledging volunteers as “Change Makers who take action to make the world a better place.” The Change Makers turn their passions into purpose and give their energy and time to make a difference in their communities.

MiCare hosted Volunteer Development sessions over 7 events at different locations In Victoria and Queensland.  A truly wonderful way to celebrate National Volunteer Week!

Thank you to those who attended, and we look forward to those who were unable to attend seeing you at one of the next events.

It’s a great opportunity for MiCare to recognize our volunteers for all the valuable and incredible work our volunteers do, from those who support our residential facilities, kiosks, and cafe, assisting in various areas in Settlement Services, to those who participate in our visiting programs.

At these events, we also take the opportunity to provide recognition in the form of certificates and rewards consisting of cards and milestone tiles.
