Princess Margriet Village
Our independent living units have been built to provide safe, affordable, attractive accommodation. The village reflects characteristics of a typical Dutch town or ‘dorp’, as a nod to our company’s original Dutch heritage. It offers a secure environment where a resident can choose a private lifestyle or enjoy the benefits of friendship, support, and shared interests within a community of like-minded individuals.
This peaceful cottage-style village consists of 14 one-bedroom units located next to our Overbeek Lodge aged care home.
There is a beautiful garden in the center of the village. Each unit has a spacious living and dining area, kitchen, built-in robes, bathroom, separate toilet, and laundry. Each unit also has its own garden and car park.
Bus services operate from the entrance of the village to local shopping centers and Croydon railway station.
The café at Overbeek Lodge provides a great opportunity to enjoy the company of friends and families. Activities and events are organised by residents and volunteers in the community halls. Elders can also join our volunteering program which provides a fantastic opportunity to keep locals connected in the community.
Should your needs change, MiCare provides community care services that will help you to stay longer and healthier in your unit. Services include personal care, laundry services, nursing assistance, case management, home maintenance, garden maintenance, aged care planning, and meal delivery.
With locations in Montrose and Carrum Downs, moving into a MiCare independent living unit allows you to live the kind of lifestyle you’ve always wanted, close to family and friends, in a community you know well.
